What is yoga?

Yoga is a physical and mental practice connecting breath and body awareness to movement. The term yoga comes from the Sanskrit word “yuj”, which means to join, and is often described as joining mind, body, spirit or connecting to the universal spirit.

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a psychological process which involves purposeful awareness of the present moment and non-judgment of your present experience. Yoga incorporates mindfulness into movement and breathwork.

And what is meditation, really?

Meditation is a process of turning inward, and can be described as a mental training in attention and awareness, with the goal to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state

Why does Mindful Movement focus on yoga, mindfulness and meditation?


Because they are great tools to optimize health and wellness! However, not everyone is comfortable in a traditional western yoga environment and not all western yoga is appropriate for every person.

Our goal at Mindful Movement is to help you find a yoga and/or meditation practice that fits your individual needs, in order to optimize physical performance, mental outlook, and physical and mental strength!
